Victorian Biscuit Box by James Deakin

Victorian Biscuit Box by James Deakin

60.00

This piece is a quintessential example of Victorian biscuit design.

Made by James Deakin and Sons, Sheffield in the 19th century, it has a lovely repeated design engraved across the entire box and is tops with a floral finial.

Obviously, it has been well used and the majority of the plating has been rubbed but it still remains a delightfully attractive item.

If you were to get it replated, its value would increase 5x immediately.

You will notice some photos show signs of blue - this is merely my jumper reflecting in the silver.

A little treasure that is perfect for this year's Christmas treats.
