Victorian Silver Plate Butter Dish by Reed and Barton

Victorian Silver Plate Butter Dish by Reed and Barton

This highly decorated silver plate butter dish was made by American silversmiths, Reed and Barton in the late 19th century

Presented to you in magnificent condition it is offered without any dents or damage and is complete with its original glass liner.

We assume it was once a gift, with the initials SH engraved sensitively into the lid. This complements the intricate floral motif that is engraved across the entire piece.

Standing on four solid and stable legs it has two strong handles on either side and a stag shaped knife holder at its front.

A really special and imposing piece that we know you will love.
