Antique Silver Plate and Glass Butter Dish on Trefoil Stand, John Grinsell and Sons, Birmingham England, 1890

€195.00

This is a wonderful example of a Victorian butter dish made by John Grinsell and Sons at the end of the 19th century.

In silver plate and glass, the piece comprises a trefoil shaped stand on splayed decorative feet. The protective guard that surrounds the bowl is supported on each three sides by a rams head and horns. The glass bowl has an elegant organic shape and is topped with a lid that enjoys an elaborate rose shaped finial.

Across both the silver plate and glass, there is no wear, damage or restoration.

A marvellous addition to any collection.
