Antique Victorian Silver Plate Cruet Set

Antique Victorian Silver Plate Cruet Set

€110.00

This is a silver plate and cut glass cruet set from the late Victorian era.

Made by Cooper Brothers from Sheffield in the 1890s, it comprises two oil/vinegar bottles as well as a pepper and mustard pot.

The stand, with its elegant handle and surrounding guard, sits balanced on four balled feet.

The elaborate four vessels enjoy intricately hand cut glass that absolutely sparkles in the light. The silver plate on the pot mounts has rubbed somewhat to reveal a subtle brass colour whilst one of the bottles has a small chip to the rim (please see final photo).

Despite these blemishes, this set would sit proudly on any dining table.
