This is a rare and exceptional piece from the late Victorian era.
Proudly presented to you in incredible condition, this large and impressive antique biscuit box is an example of true craftsmanship.
The entire piece enjoys an elaborate aesthetic design including engraved bamboo, butterflies and swallows. The ebony-topped handle includes a bar attached to chains on either side that effortlessly raise the box lids. The box sit proudly on four bulbous feet. These spheres are replicated as design features on the handle.
The silver plate is in perfect condition and there is no damage or restoration.
