James Dixon Aesthetic Twin Sweetmeat Dishes with Original Spoons

James Dixon Aesthetic Twin Sweetmeat Dishes with Original Spoons

Sale Price:€165.00 Original Price:€195.00

These twin sweetmeat dishes with original spoons were made by James Dixon and Sons in 1887.

Sparkling with immaculate silver plating, the set is presented to you in wonderful condition.

In the aesthetic manner of Christopher Dresser - a designer that James Dixon collaborated with frequently and famously - the bowls have a pinched rim and are brought together with a handle in the natural form of two calla lilies.

The accompanying spoons also enjoy the pinched rim and calla lily design and are offered in outstanding condition.

One will occasionally see a single sweetmeat dish become available but to see a twin set is rare and exciting indeed.
