This is a very large and elaborate Victorian silver plate toast rack.
The rack comprises seven teardrop shaped bars. They sit on, practically hover over, a framed based that stands on four ribboned feet. To the centre, a large handle matches the overall design perfectly.
You will see, the end bar has been soldered and lifts by one millimetre from the base. Almost impossible to detect it does not detract from the functionality not the beauty of the piece.
An incredible addition to the weekend's breakfast.
