This is large Victorian silver plate toast rack.

Designed in a triumphant style, the rack has eleven bars, capable of holding ten pieces of toast.

The rack's shape is somewhat sinuous and organic with its curved forms. Adding to this natural motif are the four feet that are crafted into well defined claws grasping spheres. The rack is topped with trefoil handle.

The silver plating remains in wonderful condition. You will see in the photos, the rack shows a slight lean as a result of what looks to be a moment in time when the handle and top bar were pressed downwards. Despite this, the rack continues to create quite a visual impact.
