This is large Victorian silver plate toast rack.
Designed in a triumphant style, the rack has nine bars, capable of holding eight pieces of toast.
The rack's shape is somewhat sinuous and organic with its curved forms. Adding to this natural motif are the four feet that are crafted into well defined claws grasping spheres. The rack is topped with finial in the shape of a mythical beast.
There is no damage or restoration to the rack and it certainly has great impact on the breakfast table.
