A very special Art Nouveau silver plate box made by WMF at the end of the 19th century.
Elaborately designed, it includes a classic Nouveau floral motif to the top and a repeating Secessionist style garland that repeats to all four sides. The box sits on four balled feet.
Internally, the wood liner is in fantastic condition with no sign of wear whatsoever. Externally, there is some wear to the top but insignificant and not a distraction from the elegance of this piece.
To be used to protect your jewellery or anything special, this box will sit beautifully in your home.
