Incredible and Elaborate Aesthetic Style Claret Jug
This is a marvellous example of an antique 19th century claret jug.
Offered to you in perfect condition, the design on the jug is incredible. The cut glass has an intricate design that includes deep lattice shapes, bunches of grapes and enormous vine leaves. This glass vessel is topped with an elaborately crafted silver plate mount.
The mount is tall and imposing. It includes a Bacchus/Dionysus spout, an elongated neck and is topped with an artichoke shaped finial. The shining element of this jug is the handle. Beautifully hand crafted in a concoction of organic and sinuous vines and leaves. On either end of the handle, unique leaves have been created to amazing effect.
This jug is a celebration of wine that would be a fantastic to your dining table.
