Art Deco Toast Rack with Scallop Butter Dish and Knife
Art Deco Toast Rack with Scallop Butter Dish and Knife
This toast rack, with an integrated scallop shaped butter dish, was made at the very beginning of the Art Deco period.
Designed and manufactured by respected Birmingham silversmiths; Daniel and Arter, the silver plate rack is offered to you in fantastic condition. The plating remains almost in mint condition with just a couple of very minor age-related marks. Definitely, nothing to detract from the piece's beauty.
The scallop shaped butter dish is made from glass - polished on the upper side, left frosted to the lower. Also with the set comes a perfectly formed butter knife that sits just right in the two arms made specifically for this purpose.
A wonderful example of deco design.
