This Art Nouveau glass claret jug has been made with an impressive textural design that is reminiscent of frosted ice glass. The handle has been hand blown into a strong and clear ridged effect.

The silver plate mount is heavily decorated in a classic Nouveau motif and includes two blank cartouches to either side. The jug is completed with a cone shaped finial.

Internally there is no damage or restoration. To the base there has previously been a small amount of shaving to the glass to remove a chip which has resulted in an ever-so-slight lean. Despite this, the jug continues to stand upright, sturdy and strong and the functionality nor beauty has not been compromised.
