Hukin and Heath Aesthetic Style Sardine Dish

Hukin and Heath Aesthetic Style Sardine Dish

€200.00

This sardine dish made by Hukin and Heath in the 1880s has been designed in the manner of Christopher Dresser.

Looking at the detail of this piece, the Dresser design cues are everywhere. The clean lines with sphered corners and the modernist Japanese style handles and engraving on the lid are all reminiscent of his world famous motifs.

This dish is proudly offered to you in wonderful condition. The thick and heavy cut glass has no chips or damage whilst the silver plating shows minor wear to one edge of the base and one edge of the lid. Most likely through years of use. Neither are a distraction from the overall beauty of the item.

A wonderful gift for someone special - or indeed, for yourself!
