This is a rare and unusual concertina style toast rack made at the height of the Victorian period.
The silver plate rack has seven bars, each designed with large hoops. The rack is in very good condition. The expanding mechanism smooth. A couple of the bars are slightly out of alignment but the piece remains completely functional.
A delightful example of an antique toast rack.
