This is a magnificent example of an antique Spanish silver and cut glass 'porron' decanter. A porron is a traditional wine decanter typical of the Catalonia region of Spain.

The glass has been intricately and expertly cut with motifs of wine leaves and grapes. Interspersed amongst these are a sea of multi-pointed stars, sunbursts and geometric lines.

The silver stopper and topper, which are hallmarked with the Spanish silver mark of a five point star, are connected with a silver chain to the central neck piece - ensuring neither piece will ever be misplaced.
