A special and quite rare antique articulated fish.

The large piece has 16 individual articulated parts to its body to create the natural movement. The tail and neck have been engraved to reflect scales. Whilst the head is true to life with protruding eyes and gills. Finally the fish enjoys five fins to the top and bottom.

The hinged head opens to reveal a secret compartment. A place for snuff, perhaps. The silver plate is in good condition but does show signs of age commensurate wear across the body.

This piece is a fine example of great craftsmanship.
