Large Continental Art Nouveau Jardinière Centrepiece

This centrepiece is a classic example of Art Nouveau/Jugendstil design from the end of the 19th Century.
A repeating floral design surrounds the piece and is interrupted on either side with a blank cartouche. Each opposing end there are two intricate blackened metal handles that perfectly complement the silver plate.
The glass liner is original and in perfect condition. Hand blown and formed into a fan shape behind each cartouche, it emphasises the cartouches.
In overall fantastic condition, there is some wear to the plating but only commensurate with the age of this special piece.
