This is a quintessentially Art Nouveau jardiniere.
Taking a neo-classical form, this piece is decorated with a floral motif. The two tier handles continue the motif and are reminiscent of gondola ends.
The silver plating is in fair condition but has lost its sheen and has rubbed in parts to the base. The heavy original liner has no cracks or chips
A fine example of the period's craftsmanship.
